I actually met Steven and Amanda at a Fazoli's restaurant in Indianapolis,
Indiana! Upon meeting them (without yet hearing their
awesome musicianship on the recording, "prayers") we instantly hit it off as friends. Shortly thereafter, they told me about the band and the vision of 1000 Generations. Once I heard that and found out that Alain Picard was going to be playing as well, I started reeling with excitement inside. I couldn't wait to get started!
In all my years as a drummer, I have rarely gotten to work with people who possess closeness and concern
for my own walk and direction in life. While driving to
our first show, Steven, Alan and I just started talking
about the character of Jesus and reading the Bible together.
I was surprised at how natural that pursuit felt and what
that did and continues to do for us as a group.
I can't believe
that I get to work with people whom I can create with,
play music with, and who encourage me. I thank God all
the time for Steven, Amanda, and Alain. I am so blessed to be apart of what God is doing through this band called 1000 Generations.
